It’s been almost a year since Mötley Crüe rocker Vince Neil suffered a major stroke on Christmas.
Neil’s health crisis forced Mötley Crüe to push back their Las Vegas residency so he could get the medical treatment he needed to recover. During that time, Neil learned that he had actually suffered three mini-strokes before his major stroke, something he had no idea about.

In September, Mötley Crüe returned to their residence at the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas with Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, John 5, and Neill all performing.
The guys played a handful of shows and have since added a slew of concerts for 2026. As the anniversary of Neil’s stroke nears, Sixx is praising his friend and bandmate for getting back out there to perform again.
“I'm proud of him. You know, I'm proud of the fact that he had the courage to get up there,” the rocker expressed. “You know, when the whole thing went down and he had the stroke and we had to cancel the first residency, there was doubt. Like we didn't know, like, is he going to recover from this?” he shared with Metal Injection.
Thankfully, Neil was able to come back and do what he loves with a band that has been his world for 45 years. It’s not lost on Sixx what it means to have Neil perform again, or how hard he worked to be on stage again after his stroke.

"So the fact that he did get on stage… and I'm appreciative that he went out and talked about that because there's a lot of people that when stuff goes wrong in their life and – I could just speak about myself with addiction, people either write them off or they can't survive it. They can't survive it,” Sixx declared to the outlet.
Along with singing Neil’s praises, Sixx has also been shutting down the haters criticizing Neil’s performances in their Las Vegas residence.
Mötley Crüe has a lot to celebrate in 2026, and not just Neil’s health. The band is heading back out for The Return of The Carnival Of Sins tour to mark the band's 45th anniversary, along with the 20th anniversary of The Carnival Of Sins tour.
