PENN YAN, N.Y. — Penn Yan Police arrested a woman, saying she broke into a house and stole the homeowner’s dog.
According to police, Colleen Fiorilla, 32, broke into a house stole a dog before leaving and driving away.
Once law enforcement got a report for the stolen dog, Penn Yan Police and Yates County Deputies went to Fiorilla’s home. But, police say Fiorilla refused to speak with them.
Instead, officers say she got in her car and drove away before she was pulled over by police. Once pulled over, officers found the stolen dog in her car. The dog wasn’t hurt and was brought back to its owner.
Fiorilla was charged with burglary in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree. She was arrested and brought to the Yates County Jail for her arraignment.
