Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's daughters are at the age when they have an opinion about everything, including their mom's outfits.
Bell, 45, who stars alongside Adam Brodyin the runaway Netflix hit Nobody Wants This, had a stunning red dress picked out for the show's season 2 premiere. However, her daughters weren't big fans. During an appearance on Monday's episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Bell shared that her daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, had a few things to say about the red slip dress with a plunging neckline that their mom had picked out for the big occasion.
"They are at the age where they have opinions now… let me tell you something about this red dress. They said, ‘no bueno,’" Bell told Hudson.
"They didn't approve?" Hudson replied.
"They didn't approve. They said, ‘too sexy,’" Bell replied, explaining that the girls are used to seeing her with "hair tangled" and "dragon breath." "They were like, ‘I don't feel... I'm not feeling this. It's too much of a paradox for me. You can't leave the house in that.'"

Despite her daughters' objections, Bell decided to go for it.
"And I said, ‘Too bad. I'm going to," Bell recalled.
She wore the slinky red dress with lace elements on the red carpet, and the gown was a hit.

Her Children Loved Watching Their Parents Together Onscreen
One thing Bell did that her two children loved was appear onscreen with their father, Shepard, in Hit & Run, the 2012 film he wrote and directed. During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Bell explained that their daughters were excited to see their parents acting together.
Bell said the couple "spent all this time making this independent film, and daddy wrote it and directed it, and they were like, 'We want to see it." And we hadn't watched it in forever. We were like, 'Okay, let's watch it with you.'"
While the girls "loved it," they didn't enjoy the moment that their parents broke up on screen.
"They were very upset, and what made me so happy is they were mad at mom, not me," Shepard laughed. "They thought mom was a bitch, and they thought daddy was a good boy with a bad past."
