"It's Monday, December 1, and here we are—stepping into a brand-new month, right in the thick of the holidays. ?," Gilbert, 61, wrote on her lifestyle brand Modern Prairie's account. "If this season feels tender, complicated, or even a little heavy… we want you to know you’re not alone. Melissa and all of us at Modern Prairie are holding space for you, and gently reminding you: there is hope for the holidays. ✨"
That's when the post revealed, "Tomorrow, we’re gathering for Hope for the Holidays—an event created to wrap you in encouragement, connection, and that steady kind of light that helps you breathe a little easier this time of year."

In the video, Gilbert told followers, "The holiday seasons can be a time of warmth and celebration and tradition. But it can also stir up feelings of longing, overwhelm or tenderness, especially when somebody we love is no longer at the table. And to help you through this, we're having a very special heart to heart called Hope for the Holidays."
She explained, "You'll learn about and share ways to honor loved ones who are no longer with us, let go of perfection and unrealistic holiday expectations, navigate complex family dynamics—and this is a big one for me—delegate when things feel overwhelming and identify who can support you. You'll learn many other valuable ways to make your holiday more easeful."
In the comments, Gilbert's followers praised the thoughtful holiday event, with one sharing, "Thank u I am crying ❤️??."
