Stein quarterbacked the Cardinals from 2008 to 2012, then served as an assistant on the Louisville staff for a couple of years. At 36 years old, Stein doesn’t have any head coaching experience, but he is one of the hottest coordinators on the market today.
After all the other carousel movement, particularly in the SEC, on Sunday, Stein would be a pretty solid hire for Kentucky. We’ll see what happens as this story continues to break.
For now, though, it seems Kentucky has a top target in mind to replace its soon-to-be-former head coach.
