In the photo, Williams is shown with his arm around Henry Winkler, 80, who famously portrayed Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli on the show. To Winkler’s left is Don Most, 72, who played Ralph Malph. All three are sporting gray hair, with Most--once a red head--also showing off a gray beard.
Williams captioned the photo, “Three Amigos Together Again! Truly Happy Days!” and fans shared their love for the pic in the comments.
“Let’s go to Arnold’s : ),” joked one fan, referring to the popular hangout on Happy Days.
“I[t] would be the Fantastic Four if you had Ron Howard as well,” another fan posted.
“How about a Senior Happy Days special reunion movie,” another fan suggested.
In the Facebook post, Williams didn’t reveal the location of the reunion but mentioned it a few days earlier in a post on Instagram.
“An awesome Thanksgiving and now taking off to San Francisco for the FanExpo Con where I’ll be joined by my Bros, Henry winkler and Don Most!” he wrote in a Nov. 28 post on Instagram along with a selfie of him, sporting his black-framed glasses, on a plane.
The event took place Nov. 28-30 at Moscone Center West in San Francisco. Aside from the Happy Days stars, other featured guests included Gillian Anderson, Christopher Lloyd, Christina Ricci, Rainn Wilson, and several other stars.
Back on Facebook, another fan took the post as an opportunity to ask a question about the controversial Happy Days finale that aired on May 8, 1984.
“Would this be the place to ask a question that has been keeping me awake for over 40 years? Why weren't Ralph and especially Potsie part of the Happy Days hour long finale? Ralph was an integral part of the show's success, he watched Joanie grow up, he was a close friend of the Cunningham family and he had been Chachi's roommate and bandmate,” he wrote. “Certainly he rated a wedding invitation. And Potsie had watched Joanie grow up, he was still Chachi's roommate, and you were the only performer, besides Marion Ross to be listed in the credits on every opening of the show, starting on Love American Style. This ruined the last episode for me in the 1980s and when you came up as a Friend suggestion, I figured now would be the time to ask.”
As of this writing, Williams had yet to address the question. For now, fans are just savoring seeing some of their old favorites reunited again.
