Outdoor ice skating rinks in the Chicago suburbs

With frosty temperatures and snow flurries in the air, the season of outdoor ice skating surrounded by the wintery wonderland of the Windy City is upon us.

Though some are already open, many outdoor rinks around the Chicago suburbs require colder outdoor temperatures than the area has seen this season — especially those at public parks.

However, the recent drop in temperatures and the snowfall expected over Thanksgiving weekend could mean those rinks are ready for skaters sooner than later.

Either way, outdoor rink options are plentiful throughout the winter season in the Chicago area.

Whether you’re an aspiring hockey player, parent of a future figure skating champion or simply looking to lace up for a holiday season skate session, no further for where you can hit the ice outdoors in the Chicago suburbs this winter.
