In the clip, the bariatric surgeon asked Cooper about his medical issues, to which he revealed, "Recently, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure," explaining he was taking blood pressure and cholesterol medication.
Dr. Procter then directly pointed out, "I don't have to tell you, you're kind of a ticking time bomb."
To producers, the Atlanta-based doctor added, "I don't know if Keith really understands how sick he is. Keith may not live another five or six years if he doesn't do something about his weight very, very quickly."
Then it was time for the moment of truth: Cooper's starting weight. "Being there on the scale, I just wonder, 'Where am I right now?'" he told producers before confessing, "I haven't weighed myself in decades."
He tipped the scale at a staggering 711.8 pounds.

"I've got some work to do," he admitted to Dr. Procter. "That's too much. I didn't think I was going to be that big."
In a confessional, Cooper added, "It didn't seem real. I never would have ever thought that I would see a 7 or a 6. But a 7? That's almost 1,000 pounds."
Dr. Procter gave Cooper an initial goal of losing 50 pounds in one month to qualify for bariatric surgery. "Fifty pounds is a lot," Cooper pointed out. "We'll see."
"Not, 'We'll see,'" Dr. Procter insisted. "You're going to get there, and you're going to do this."
The surgeon added, "There's no easy day from here on out," explaining that he would connect Cooper with dietitians, health coaches and bariatric psychologists. "What we're about to embark on here is a marathon."
Cooper confessed, "I'm feeling really anxious because he said I have to lose 50 pounds. I just don't see how that can be possible. But I need to do something, or I'm not going to be here."
With his wife's support and the help of Dr. Procter's team, will Cooper be able to turn things around for his health? Tune into the Nov. 26 episode of Dangerously Obese to find out.
