Just days ahead of the Season 5 premiere of the hit Netflix series, the Beach Boys recirculated a scene from last season, where the fan-favorite metalhead character Eddie Munson (played by Joseph Quinn) defended his affinity for the the heavy metal band, Iron Maiden.
In the original clip, other characters in the show are frantically searching around Munson's room for tapes to play music, which acts as a shield against the show's supernatural villain, Vecna. But while sifting through Munson's collection of heavy metal records, the character Robin (Maya Hawke) asks Munson if he has any music from more mainstream artists like Madonna, Blondie, David Bowie or The Beatles.
"Music. We need music!" she shouts while Munson hilariously yells back, "This IS music!" while holding up Iron Maiden's 1993 album, Piece of Mind.
In their post on Tuesday, Nov. 25, the Beach Boys put their spin on the now-iconic Stranger Things scene, digitally replacing the Iron Maiden album with their own record, Pet Sounds, from 1966.
