The first Chicago Bears injury report ahead of the team’s Black Friday showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles is OUT. And, all things considered, there seems to be more good news than bad. This isn’t to say there aren’t some concerning names on the first installment of this week’s Bears injury report, but there are a handful of names whose designations represent encouraging signs.

— Bears Communications (@BearsPR) November 25, 2025As noted by the Bears, this is an estimated injury report based on the walk-through the team had on Tuesday. For what it’s worth, Wednesday figures to be a better indication of who will be available for Friday’s game against the Eagles. In the meantime, here are my takeaways from Tuesday’s Bears injury report:
We can start by highlighting that cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon were both tagged as full participants on the estimated Bears injury report. Johnson and Gordon are making their way back from injured reserve. And while the Bears need to clear roster space before adding them onto the active roster, there seems to be hope that one (if not both) will be back to suit up on Friday. That would be a welcome bit of news, especially since cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hip) would not have practiced had the team had a full-on session instead of a walk-through. Other players with full participation designations on Tuesday’s Bears injury report: Offensive lineman Theo Benedet (quad), running back Travis Homer (hamstring, knee), and running back Kyle Monangai (knee). Seeing Benedet get upgraded after sitting out the team’s Week 12 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers would bring the Bears closer to full strength. At a minimum, it is reassuring to get a starting-caliber player back in the mix after noticing reserve lineman Luke Newman (foot) was a non-participant. Other players who did not participate on the estimated Bears injury report: Linebacker T.J. Edwards (hamstring, hand), linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II (shoulder), defensive lineamn Dominique Robinson (concussion), linebacker Noah Sewell (elbow). Sheesh. That banged up group of linebackers isn’t getting any healthier. I’ll hold out hope that this was a rest day for Hyppolite and Sewell, but I’m not holding my breath. The DNP for Edwards suggests that he isn’t close to getting back in the lineup. This stings. Not only would it have been a jolt to the defense, but it also would have been a homecoming of sorts for Edwards. Remember, Edwards played for Philly from 2019-22 before leaving the Eagles to sign with the Bears as a free agent. You just know a guy like that would love to show out in front of his former team. There are two more Bears injury report updates left in this week. We’ll share more when they hit out desk.
