In a video shared by RevSportz on X, Rohit Juglan said that Sharma is considering playing a few Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy matches. Juglan stated that nothing is final yet, but the opener wants some competitive game time as part of his preparation.
“There’s some news I’m hearing right now. I can’t confirm it fully, but he might play a few Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy games. Again, I can’t say this with 100 per cent certainty," Juglan said.
"But yes, he is considering it as part of his preparation, just to get some game time. He’s trying to see if he can feature in one, two, three, or even none of the matches. At this moment, I can’t confirm anything, but I can say that he is thinking in that direction.”

Rohit Juglan explained that Rohit Sharma began his stint at the Centre of Excellence with two days dedicated to fitness work. Sharma switched his focus to batting drills, spending the last several days facing a mix of fast bowlers and spinners.
"Rohit Sharma’s presence at the Centre of Excellence saw the first couple of days focused entirely on fitness. Over the last three to four days, he has shifted his attention specifically to batting. Around three to four fast bowlers and an equal number of spinners have been bowling to him," Juglan stated.
"Sharma has been training in a 3 p.m. slot, spending a couple of hours facing pace and spin to sharpen his batting ahead of his return to competitive cricket."
