Hannah Ann Sluss, who won Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor, and her husband, NFL player Jake Funk, have welcomed their first child. On November 20, Sluss revealed to fans that it was almost delivery time. She shared a video on Instagram showing her at the hospital, and Funk leaned over to kiss her. In October, Sluss shared some tidbits about names she and Funk had considered via an Instagram Story. The photo she shared at the time again showed the couple's dog, along with a blanket and infant outfit in neutral sage green and cream colors.
A fan had asked, "Do you have names picked out for both genders? If so what are they?"
Sluss revealed that girl names they considered but won't be using this time around include Brooklyn and Holland. She explained that Funk suggested Brooklyn, which would be a nod to her best friend Brooke. If they used Holland, they would use the nickname Holly.
As for boys, one name they considered was Knox, in honor of her hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. She joked, "Our last name is Funk so I think you could have something fun for a first name." Another name she shared was Rome, a nod to the pair's honeymoon in Rome, Italy.
Funk and Sluss announced their baby news via People in June. She explained that as soon as they learned they were expecting and started talking about names, they realized they loved "the idea of choosing one that's meaningful and tied to family in some way."
At the time they announced the pregnancy, she gushed that they were "So thankful." Sluss added, "Becoming parents is the greatest gift, and we're just in awe of God's goodness in this season."
