2025 Phoenix Fall Classic
November 21-23, 2025 Myers-McLoraine Pool, University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois Short Course Yards (25 yards) Live ResultsWhile the spotlights shined on the big NCAA Division I invites over the weekend, a new NCAA Division III Record fell in Chicago. NYU senior Kaley McIntyre crushed her own NCAA Division III Record in the 100 yard free at the Phoenix Fall Classic, swimming 48.13 on Sunday in the event final.
The old record was the 48.53 that she swam to win last year’s national title in the event. The next-fastest in history is Kendra Stern, who swam for Amherst College and posted a 48.98 at the 2010 NCAA Championship meet. No other D3 swimmer besides McIntyre has been sub-49 in the 15 years since, and McIntyre has done it four times.

New D3 Record Old D3 Record 50y 23.34 23.20 100y 24.79 25.33 Total Time 48.13 48.53McIntyre spent some time experimenting with her splitting last season, but seems to have found the middle-ground for how fast she can go out and still come home like a freight train.
The 2025 CSCAA Swimmer of the Year for Division III, McIntyre is pursuing a third-straight 100 free national title in March. The 100 free is the only of her events in which she is not chasing a fourpeat: she swam the 200 back as a freshman and finished 9th at NCAAs. She is also the three-time defending champion in the 50 free and 200 free.
McIntyre won all seven events at the meet, including the 50 free (22.66/22.55 in prelims) and 200 free (1:47.11). That 50 free time is .55 seconds better than anybody else in D3 has been this season. She also had a 47.90 split on the second leg of the team’s 400 free relay.
NYU dominated the team scoring on both the men’s and women’s side, beating out Wash U for the win in both case.

Djordje Dragojlovic, a senior, later dropped a personal best of *19.53 to win the 50 free, under the NCAA A cut of 19.56, and is now tied for 7th all time in D3 history as the top time in the nation for D3. Kenyon later won the 400 medley relay in 3:13.40, with Dragojlovic splitting 42.4 on the anchor leg. Carnegie Melon won the 200 medley relay in a school record of 1:26.72, which is the fastest D3 time of the year and puts then in a 3 way tie for the 6th-hbest relay in D3 history. Carnegie Melon also won the 800 free relay in 6:32.70, including a school record of 1:36.04 on the leadoff from Matt Peitler. That’s the 10th-fastest D3 time ever.
