There were 14 SEC teams in action last weekend. A handful of them hosted FCS or lower-level FBS foes in preparation for their rivalry week matchups, but we had 4 conference battles, too. And, as always, Cole Cubelic was there to break down all the tape afterward.
Cubelic released his weekly takeaways early Monday morning. With so many mismatches, 5 schools — Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas A&M — simply “handled their business.” However, that doesn’t mean they each played spectacularly. Cubelic noted the Crimson Tide lacked “push in the run game” and had “too many missed assignments” along the offensive line.
Once he got into the SEC-on-SEC matchups, Cubelic’s analysis became more pointed. He applauded Missouri’s defense for “getting after it” against Oklahoma, but bashed the offensive gameplan versus the Sooners’ impressive pass rush, saying that asking Beau Pribula “to live in the pocket wasn’t going to end well.” On the other side, he suggested Oklahoma try more off-tackle runs to aid its ground game.
Last but not least, Cubelic gave Diego Pavia — 33/39, 484 yards, 5 TD, 1 INT — immense praise for a dominant performance in Vandy’s win over Kentucky. Cubelic said Pavia was “masterful,” and gave him credit for playing under control. You can read through all of Cubelic’s takeaways below:

— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025ARKANSAS: Offense did nice job changing angles in run game with FB & option. Moved pocket. QB manipulated it well. Protection didn't hold up. Took check downs. Dynamic as a runner, special in open field. 4 can be big time. Great feel for what will open up. Delayed routes had…
— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025AUBURN: Handled their business. QB was impressive. Mainly the calm he showed in the pocket. Moved well, knew when & where to leave. Decisive. — Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025GEORGIA: Handled their business. 14 on target. Worked pocket well. Made great decisions, when to tuck & go, when to get ball out. OL not great working to 2nd level. Pad level bit too high. Needed more run after catch. Liked new personnel in new spots. Had a drop or two. Like how…
— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025KENTUCKY: Tough one. Depth on defense obviously hurt. Got caught with technique breakdowns early in coverage. The DL was pretty good. 95 did a lot rushing passer. 35 had good reps. Just didn't cage the QB. Scramble drill was a problem. Routes from the core hurt as well. 7 & 90…
— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025LSU: Got the win. Slow start. QB seemed rushed. Also looked like throws were pre determined. Finding 14 was key. He's a legit playmaker. He's gotten better with effort blocking. 22 seeing thing ls better. Knows how to be more patient. He's smooth on the outside runs. Evening out…
— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025MISSOURI: Tough one. Defense got after it. Got beat on one route that really stung. — Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025OKLAHOMA: Huge win. Offense struggled to find rythm. Quick game was fine. Provided explosive. Run game not there. Q runs gave them some life. Reading different spots keeps def guessing. More off tackle I think would give them more to build on. Quick throws are going to have to be…
— Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025SOUTH CAROLINA: Handled their business. Great start with quick game to 17, likes the formations. A gap sniffers were cool. — Cole Cubelic (@colecubelic) November 24, 2025VANDERBILT: Another one. QB masterful. Operated with precision. The risks have just become so limited. Even the high risk plays have become under control. OL physical. Gave up some pass rush. WRs helped. 6 great down the field. 0 & 5 had big grabs. 28 is still so vital for what…
