BART advised riders who normally use the Green Line from San Francisco to board a Dublin/Pleasanton train and transfer at the Bayfair station to a Berryessa/North San Jose train. In September and in May, the agency had system-wide shutdowns. In addition, BART had to close its Red Line from Richmond to Millbrae on Aug. 21, the first day that it started it’s new Tap and Ride system.
BART closed its Yellow Line in eastern and central Contra Costa County on July 2 because of an electrical outage. And fires near the tracks between the Daly City and Balboa Park stations and near the San Leandro station stopped trains service on consecutive days in May.
