Maureen McCormick reflected on her years on The Brady Bunch in a new interview. More than 50 years after the ABC sitcom ended its five-season run, McCormick, 69, told Digital Journal it was a lightning-in-a-bottle moment in time.
“That show was awesome,” McCormick said in the November 2025 interview. “I loved being a part of that show, and I dearly loved everyone connected with it.”
“I feel like it was one of those times when everything comes together and it was just a magical connection,” she added. “We had fun and everybody, including the crew, are in my heart forever.”
McCormick revealed that she has been talking to fans who “actually start crying because the show meant so much to them.” “The show The Brady Bunch was a place to escape, or to dream, or to actually feel like they were a part of that family,” she said. “I think The Brady Bunch was a very inclusive family. I love that people feel like they’re a part of it.”
McCormick played Marcia Brady on The Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1974. She has kept in touch with her TV siblings—Barry Williams, Eve Plumb, Christopher Knight, Susan Olsen, and Mike Lookinland—and in 2019, they all reunited for HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation.
Sadly, the renovation series was filmed after three beloved Brady Bunch stars had died. Late cast members Robert Reed, Florence Henderson, and Ann B. Davis were all honored as the sitcom siblings sat down for a holiday dinner—prepared by Food Network star Ree Drummond!— on A Very Brady Renovation: Holiday Edition.
McCormick told Closer Weekly that she remained especially close with Henderson and Davis after filming for The Brady Bunch and all of its subsequent sequels ended.
“Gosh, we were so close,” she said of Davis, who died in 2014. “We used to fly to Texas, and we would hang out and go out to dinner, and we really spent a lot of time together — you know years after the show, and just admire her.”
“Florence, of course, we got very, very close, and spent really amazing moments together at the end,” she recalled. “I’m really grateful because they all taught me a lot and they’ll always be with me.”

While she had a magical connection with her Brady Bunch family, McCormick has hinted that the magic may have to stay in the past. In 2024, she told People magazine it would be a hard sell to get her to do a revival of the beloved ‘70s series.
“It's so hard to do a reboot or a remake of something,” she explained last year. “So I feel very protective of it in a way. It has such great memories for so many people, but it would just have to absolutely knock my socks off for me to want to do anything with it.”
“But it was such an incredible show to be a part of,” she added of the original Brady Bunch series. “And my best memories of the show are the people, the crew, and their families.”
