Miss Universe 2025 winner Fatima Bosch officially stepped into her new role after being crowned when the pageant took place in Thailand.
Representing Mexico, she captured the attention of millions of viewers worldwide as she stood out among the 120 delegates to claim this year’s title.
The first runner-up was Praveenar Singh of Thailand, followed by Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali as second runner-up.
Rounding out the top five were Ahtisa Manalo of the Philippines in third place and Olivia Yacé of Côte d’Ivoire in fourth.
Following the thrilling competition and the buzz surrounding the 74th Miss Universe pageant, she kicked off her reign with a memorable “first day” post showing just how ready she is to embrace her responsibilities, inspire people and make her mark on the world stage.

In an Instagram post, the 25-year-old shared behind-the-scenes moments as the newly crowned Miss Universe.
Bosch looked stunning in a white robe, flaunting the gold crown with pearl accents and her sash proudly displaying her title.
“First day at work,” she wrote.
Her post drew huge reactions from the public, boosting her following to 3 million after her pageant victory.
View this post on Instagram“The most beautiful Miss Universe, inside and out,” one wrote.
“The most beautiful in the universe,” another added.
“No doubt it was for her!” a user said.
The same goes for a supporter who noted, “Omg So Fire. You’re Looking Breathtakingly Gorgeous.”
Unfortunately, some were not impressed with her social media update, with a few questioning whether she really deserved the crown, especially after allegations regarding rigged voting.
“What a sad reel for the universe. Such an insult to every lady who worked hard for the crown,” a follower commented.
“Deep down she also knows that she is undeserving to hold the title,” a commenter said.
While a few harshly dubbed her a “Miss Fake winner” or the “WORST MISS UNIVERSE EVER!!!!!” others appealed to the Miss Universe Organization over what they deemed “concerning” results.
“REGARDING SERIOUS IRREGULARITIES IN THE BEYOND THE CROWN – MISS UNIVERSE 2025. DEAR: Miss Universe Organization (MUO) We are deeply concerned and deeply concerned about the results announced for the Miss Universe 2025 Beyond the Crown competition. According to the official rankings released by MUO, the representative of Vietnam, Huong Giang was clearly in the Top 3. However, the final award was given to Miss Netherlands, who was not in the announced Top 3,” a commenter explained.
Amid the excitement and global attention, the grand finals became overshadowed by scandal when the organization was thrust into hot water over a series of controversies.
After Bosch was declared the new winner, chants of “cooking show” echoed throughout the venue, according to Nation Thailand, as spectators accused the competition of being predetermined.
In pageant slang, the term implies a “pre-cooked” or pre-decided outcome, suggesting that the results were fixed long before the actual voting took place.
Prior to this, there were also issues regarding alleged rigged voting, which prompted some judges to resign. This includes composer Omar Harfouch, who stepped down shortly before the finale.
In an Instagram post, he claimed that the pageant owner, Raul Rocha, had predetermined Miss Mexico as the winner after securing business deals with her father.
“Miss Mexico is a Fake winner,” he said in a post, adding, “I Omar Harfouch declared yesterday exclusively on the American HBO, 24 hours before the Miss Universe final, that Miss Mexico would win—because Miss Universe owner Raúl Rocha is in business with Fatima Bosch’s father.”
Besides Harfouch, fellow judge and former Real Madrid and Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele also resigned, further fueling the controversy.
Amid the continued allegations, the Miss Universe Organization denied the claims, pointing out that the competition for the 74th Miss Universe “remains official, transparent and fully governed by MUO protocols.”
