Brown used a hesitation move while waiting for the hole to open up and once it did, he was gone. Brown tied Jeff Sims’ own 88-yard touchdown run in the Iowa State win for the longest play of ASU’s season.

Not only was it a bounce back from his own turnover, Brown’s touchdown also made it a 28-17 lead to give the Sun Devils the breathing room they needed when they were down 4-0 in the turnover battle at the time of Brown’s fumble.
He came in needing 177 rushing yards to cross the 1,000-yard mark for the season, and he finished with 255 yards. He added 33 yards on a receiving touchdown that started the scoring for Arizona State.
