President Ahmad al-Sharaa arrived Saturday evening in Hama city to participate in the events of the “In Devotion to Hama” campaign.
President Al-Sharaa stated that “the wound of Hama did not concern only the people of Hama, but all Syrians, and it is a wound that has lasted for more than 40 years”.
‘The liberation of Hama marked a major turning point in the course of the battle. Hama has been a school of sacrifice, patience, and liberation. It has also been a school of rising above wounds, looking forward, and not forgetting the past. Today, we build our future upon the painful lessons of the past,” President Al-Sharaa said.
President Al-Sharaa added, “The secret behind the success of the battle was the coalition formed among the actors of the Syrian revolution. Today, the challenge of reconstruction requires the unity of Syrians and the concerted efforts of all in the battle for rebuilding and prosperity”.
“Hama has given a great lesson to the entire nation in sacrifice and devotion. Today, we do not fear for Hama; rather, we draw strength from it,” President Al-Sharaa affirmed.
President Al-Sharaa stressed that the Hama countryside played a significant role in the blessed Syrian revolution and paid a heavy price in its support. Everyone who participates and contributes to rebuilding the destroyed towns and helps return people to their homes, villages, and farms holds a great honor.
President Al-Sharaa concluded that there is a debt owed by all Syrians to Hama, and today it is our duty to repay this debt with love and brotherhood.
