The Aggies went 5-2 inside Kyle Field in Elko’s first season. They went 4-0 at home during the shortened 2020 campaign, but haven’t finished a full season unbeaten at home since 1999.
This year’s season has been a special one. A&M fans have long been loyal, but the team hasn’t always rewarded that loyalty. Elko’s squad has double-digit wins in a season for the first time since 2012. When it heads to Austin next week, A&M will be seeking its first 12-0 regular season since 1992.
According to D1.ticker, A&M had an average attendance of 99,234 fans during the 2023 season. In Elko’s first season last fall, the Aggies bumped up to 102,847 fans.
All signs point to an ascending program under Elko. He wasted no time building a contender, and A&M fans have flocked to support his program.
