A woman standing outside in a crowd was shot on Saturday morning in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood, police stated.
The shooting was reported at approximately 9:15 a.m. in the 8400 block of South Vincennes Avenue near West 84th Street. Police said the an unknown vehicle approached, and someone inside began firing at the crowd.
A 42-year-old woman was struck by gunfire and sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body, authorities said. She was transported to an area hospital in good condition.
No additional injuries were reported.
