Cardi (whose full name is Balcalis Malenis Almánzar) worked with Juliane Marie Corona, whose company, Mommy Made Encapsulation, creates placenta capsules for post-partum women.
Cardi worked with Corona after one of her previous pregnancies, but only created the capsules the first time around. For this special project and the second time working with her, Corona took it a step further to create a heart-shaped gold pendant, which she made out of an actual piece of Cardi’s umbilical cord.
She posted a video of the fascinating creation process (which is the main type of content she posts) to her Instagram, which received over 54,000 likes. Corona captioned the video, “Round 2 with the queen herself. Thank you, Cardi, for trusting me again with your magical placenta magic.”
While this may seem unique and unusual to some, Cardi isn’t the only celebrity who’s worked with Corona: Megan Fox and Vanessa Hudgens have, as well, after they gave birth this year and last year, respectively. Corona has almost half a million followers on Instagram and has created placenta capsules for countless women looking to add essential nutrients back into their diets after giving birth.
