Everyone! I have an announcement! Today is the official theatrical release of the highly anticipated follow-up to Wicked, Wicked: For Good—as if you didn’t know that already. The dazzling adaptation of the hit Broadway musical has taken on a life of its own, reaching fans across the globe and giving them new reasons to believe they, too, can defy gravity. From the mystifying, wildly immersive scenes to the breathtaking vocal performances of Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and pretty much everyone in the cast, the critically acclaimed film has become one of the most definitive works of art of this decade.
It’s created a cultural phenomenon that has us all cloaking ourselves in one of the titular character's signature colors—pink or green. Of course, whether you identify more with Elphaba’s verdigris or find yourself in Glinda’s rosy pink and over-the-top personality, the reality is that pink and green really do go good together. Despite their opposing positions on the color wheel, they bring out subtle nuances in the other when blended together that can only be summed up as magic. It appears, like Glinda and Elphaba, that they were always fated to be together.

How to Make the Sparkling Pink Spritz
To make the effervescent and refreshing Sparkling Pink Spritz, you’ll need:
3-ounces of Fever-Tree’s Sparkling Pink Grapefruit mixer1-ounce of your favorite vodka or other light spirit (I used Aviation Gin)Fresh grapefruit slices and edible pink glitter to garnish, if you have them. You can also leave the alcohol out altogether to make it a mocktail or opt for another non-alcoholic spirit like Artet or Nowadays if you’d like. Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients, simply fill a large wine glass to the top with ice, add in your spirit of choice, top it off with Fever-Tree, and garnish with a fresh slice of grapefruit. It’s really that easy.

How to Make the Emerald Matcha Yuzu Fizz
For the Emerald Matcha Yuzu Fizz, you’ll need:
4-ounces of Fever-Tree’s Sparkling Lime & Yuzu mixer1-ounce of your favorite match (I used Everyday Matcha)1 ½ ounces of your favorite spiritFresh lime slices for garnishAgain, you can leave out the alcohol completely to make it a mocktail, and you can adjust the amount of matcha based on your personal preference. To make this one, simply add your matcha and spirit of choice to a shaker with ice, shake it up, and then strain the mixture over ice into your wine glass. Top it off with your Fever-Tree mixer, garnish with a slice of lime, and prepare to fly.

The beauty of each cocktail is how simple they are to make and adjust to your preferences, whether you want a bit more booze or just want to dress up your evening mocktail. Taste-wise, the Sparkling Pink Spritz was bright, juicy, and bursting with zest, like the character it’s inspired by. The Emerald Matcha Yuzu Fizz, on the other hand, was deep and earthy, with subtle tang and vibrance from the yuzu and lime, making it an enchanting sip from start to finish.
The only thing I’d do differently is ease up on the matcha in the Elphaba-inspired tipple because I think I added a bit more than necessary, and it overpowered the drink for me. Regardless, both cocktails are definitely worth holding space for, and I’ll be adding them both to my repertoire for my next Wicked-themed watch party. Told you pink goes good with green.
