Charli Burnett Exited 'Vanderpump Rules' After Season 10
Burnett began filming for Vanderpump Rules during its eighth season, which premiered in 2020. During a May 2023 interview on formerBachelor star Nick Viall's podcast, The Viall Files, Burnett shared how she ended up filming for the Bravo series. According to the 28-year-old, she "was a working actress" in Los Angeles when a producer approached her about shooting a reality show about "young people living in L.A." She said when she was eventually told the series in question was Vanderpump Rules, she didn't think she would actually be chosen for the show. However, she was chosen to be a cast member after she was interviewed by the show's star and executive producer, Lisa Vanderpump.
"I met up with her and she was like you now work at [my restaurant] SUR and you're on Vanderpump Rules," said Burnett while recording Viall's podcast episode.
Deadline reported that Burnett explained why she exited the series following its 10th season in a December 2023 Viall Files episode. She said that she received a contract for the show's 11th season. However, Burnett said she couldn't bring herself to film for another season, especially after Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss' affair in Season 10.
“I just didn’t know where I fell into place with Vanderpump. This year, I just didn’t feel like, where was the show going? Where is everyone else going? I just felt like I was in such a different place in my life than everyone else’s and I just didn’t feel connected in the same way," said Burnett on Viall's podcast, per Deadline.
Vanderpump Rules has been rebooted with a brand new cast for its 12th season and will begin airing in December 2025.
