ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A cold front passing through clears the area by Saturday morning, taking any slight chance of a shower with it. But it’ll be a bit cooler this weekend, especially Saturday. Highs will top out in the lower half of the 40s. Clouds will win out, but we’ll trend brighter into the afternoon. A warm front will begin to move through on Sunday, bringing an uptick in cloud cover once again, and the slight chance of a shower. But overall, we should see a mainly dry weekend, and not too bad for late November!
That warm front clears the area by Monday, with our temperatures pushing into the upper 40s with more sunshine returning. Our next storm system begins to move in on Tuesday of next week with rain showers moving back in. Tuesday will likely be the mildest day of the week, with highs into the 50s.
Our weather will change quickly on Wednesday, with a strong cold front moving through. Rain showers to start the day will taper, followed by falling temperatures and the wind ramping up. It will eventually turn chilly enough for some lake effect snow. Whether that happens Wednesday night or holds off until Thursday remains to be seen, as the exact timing is still being worked out this far out. Bottom line: travelers ahead of Thanksgiving should see minimal impacts from the weather, but those hitting the roads after Thanksgiving may be dealing with some lake effect snow bands.
