An 18-year-old man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of placing a camera pointed toward a toilet in an Aims Community College bathroom.
Ashton Harrington was arrested on five counts of invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, according to a Weld County Sheriff’s Office release.
On Wednesday, Aims campus safety and security personnel alerted a Weld sheriff’s deputy to a recording device that captured footage pointed at a toilet in an all-gender bathroom. After reviewing surveillance footage, deputies determined Harrington placed the device there, the release states.
Neither the release nor an affidavit for his arrest indicates whether Harrington is a student at Aims.
