A man was fatally shot on the 300 block of East Erna Avenue in La Habra around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, La Habra police said.
The man died at the scene, according to police. His identity was not available as of Friday morning.
Video from the scene showed a large police presence in front of El Centro-Lions Park, with police tape blocking off the area in front of the park’s basketball court. Red and blue lights lit up the street as officers investigated.
Detectives are considering multiple possible motives, including the possibility of gang involvement, a statement from La Habra police stated. Police added there is currently no threat perceived to the community.
