Man hit by truck and killed in Ontario County while trying to attach snowplow

RICHMOND, N.Y. — Ontario County sheriff’s deputies say a man died after he tried to attach a snowplow to a pickup truck and was accidentally hit.

It happened on Thursday around 3:30 p.m. on White Road in the Town of Richmond. Deputies say the truck driver’s foot slipped off the brake, causing the truck to roll and trap the man between the snowplow and a fence post.
