DWTS Has Tried to Book This Boy Band Heartthrob for Years—Here’s Why He Keeps Saying No

Over the years, Dancing With the Stars has featured numerous boy band stars. But there’s one popular performer who keeps slipping through their fingers, despite repeated attempts to get him on the ballroom floor.

In an interview for InStyle, Jonas Brothers sat down to answer fan mail. It was during this Q&A that one of the brothers admitted he's been outrunning the chance to appear on the wildly popular reality competition series.

    Kevin Jonas revealed that he's been asked for years to join the series' celebrity cast. “They’ve asked you pretty much every season for the last 20 years, I think,” Nick Jonas admitted.

    “For a long time, yeah,” Kevin revealed. “I have said no. It’s just not for me. But thank you so much. I’m a huge fan.”

    Despite not wanting to participate as a dancer, Kevin is a fan of the show. “I will say, we watch the show. It’s very fun. I feel like it’s really back. Dancing With the Stars is fully back.”

    Although he won't be a cast member of Dancing With the Stars anytime soon, that doesn't mean Jonas Brothers fans won't see them on the series. One of the band's songs will be used on the show during the season finale.

    What boy band members have appeared on 'DWTS?'

    There have been plenty of boy bands represented on Dancing With the Stars throughout its 34 seasons. All decades have been represented, guaranteeing viewers will find a favorite performer.

    Donny Osmond, a member of The Osmond Brothers, took home a mirrorball in 2009 during Season 9. Riker Lynch, who was part of R5, competed during Season 20 and came in second place.

    New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre competed during Season 1. Big Time Rush singers James Maslow and Carlos PenaVega competed during seasons 18 and 21, respectively.

    98 Degrees siblings Nick Lachey and Drew Lachey competed during seasons 25 and season 2, where Drew took home a mirrorball trophy. Backstreet Boys bandmates Nick Carter (Season 21) and AJ McLean (Season 29) also tried their hand at winning a mirrorball. Nick's brother, the late Aaron Carter, competed during Season 9.

    Finally, two members of NSYNC did well during their time in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom. Lance Bass came in third place during Season 7, and Joey Fatone placed second in Season 4.

    Dancing With the Stars season finale airs Tuesday, November 25 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+. New episodes air the next day on Hulu.
