Fans of the family drama All Creatures Great and Small can rest easy knowing that the upcoming Season 6 won't be its last. The series was recently renewed for an additional two seasons, which will take the show through Season 8!

It is a remake of a 1970s series of the same name based on Wight's books. The current series stars newcomer Nicholas Ralph as James Herriot and Rachel Shenton as his wife, Helen. Shenton won an Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film at the Academy Awards in 2018.

Season 6 jumps ahead a few years from the events of Season 5. It's 1945, and the war is over. Tristan (Woodhouse) returns from the war, and life is a little different in the Dales. The series is filmed in the county of Yorkshire in northern England.
