Taco Bell has unveiled its latest test menu items and locations, and, like the last round, this version also features a spinoff of a fan-favorite.
In October, Parade reported on several "big flavor" menu items the international fast food joint revealed it was testing in parts of Texas, Tennessee, and Indiana. As the world patiently awaits the company's response to participant feedback, Taco Bell is giving fans something else to talk about: even more new test categories.
Two of the three items being tested could expand Taco Bell's food options, should the company decide to widen its availability. But as loyal fans know, it's been paying close attention to consumers' demand for specialty drinks, so it's trying out some new beverage offers for a limited time as well.
Taco Bell Is Currently Testing Mexican Pizza Empanadas, Crunchadilla and Several New Refrescas—Here's Where
On Thursday, Taco Bell confirmed it has moved on from the new Crunchwrap and chicken nuggets variation, and it's now testing Mexican Pizza Empanadas inspired by the cult-favorite menu item it temporarily discontinued and then returned in 2022. This recipe was expected to be tested this year, but we didn't know when or where until now.
We've also learned it's rolling out a crunchy quesadilla, dubbed the "Crunchadilla," along with two new Refresca-style drinks.

Taco Bell Crunchadilla: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The company described its Crunchadilla as "melty, crispy perfection" that delivers "bold flavor and craveable texture" in two builds: Classic or Sriracha Chicken.
The Classic Chicken Crunchadilla takes a crispy tortilla shell and stuffs it with creamy jalapeño sauce, grilled marinated all-white-meat chicken, reduced-fat sour cream and a trio of mozzarella, pepper jack and cheddar cheeses and then folds it all together in a warm, grilled flour tortilla for just $2.00. The Sriracha Chicken Crunchadilla follows the same recipe with the added spices of Taco Bell's Sriracha sauce. Both are available at select restaurants in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Taco Bell Limonada and Dream Refrescas: Knoxville, Tennessee
And last, but certainly not least, are two "upgraded" Refrescas.
Taco Bell's Limonada Refresca ($3.99) is made with real freeze-dried fruit pieces and lemonade that's infused with customers' choice of sweet or tangy fruit flavors like Strawberry Passionfruit, Mango Peach, and Dragonfruit Strawberry. It describes its new Dream Refresca ($4.29) as a "smooth, creamy take on refreshment," also mixed with real freeze-dried fruit pieces, lemonade and a splash of vanilla creamer for a cool, craveable twist. It can be ordered in Strawberry or Pineapple Mango flavors. Both are testing at participating Taco Bells in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Taco Bell didn't say when it would stop testing the items, just that they became available at participating U.S. locations today (Thursday, Nov. 20), for a limited time, while supplies last, so it's probably in your best interest to act fast.
And should you not live in any of these states, Taco Bell has something up its sleeve for you, too. Last week, the Mexican-inspired eatery announced it would be offering a "comforting" new Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla, marking the first formal introduction of poblano peppers to its national menu. The news was almost immediately followed by the announcement that it would offer three new fan-inspired menu items nationwide for a limited time.
