Louis Osbourne just dropped a bombshell revelation on his brother Jack Osbourne's podcast Trying Not to Die, sharing that their late father Ozzy recorded a duet with Madonna back in the early '80s—and the world has never heard it.

The song in question is Shake Your Head by Was (Not Was), originally written for the Detroit duo's 1983 album "Born to Laugh at Tornadoes." But here's where the story gets interesting: the version that made it onto the album featured actress Kim Basinger's vocals, not Madonna's.
"It was written for Madonna and Was (Not Was), and it was when dad was poppin' in the early '80s and so was she," Louis explained during the Nov. 18 podcast episode. "But then she kind of like really popped and then didn't give approval on the record."
According to Louis, after Madonna or her team blocked approvals for the track, they brought in Basinger, who was just beginning her major movie career. At the time, Basinger's team was trying to launch her as a pop star alongside her acting work.

The original Madonna/Ozzy duet is "somewhere out there," according to Louis, who mentioned he actually owns a rare 12-inch vinyl of a related version at home. Don Was, one half of Was (Not Was), confirmed to Rolling Stone in October 2025 that Madonna "did a great job" on the vocals but felt it didn't quite sound like their band anymore, which is why they brought in Ozzy to add his distinctive voice.

The story gets even more intriguing. Don Was revealed they discovered years later that they had Ozzy and Madonna on parallel tracks. They gave it to remixer Steve "Silk" Hurley, who turned it into an Ozzy/Madonna duet that actually became a hit overseas, reaching number four on the U.K. dance charts in 1992.
