A woman was killed and at least three others — including a police officer — were injured in a high-speed pursuit Thursday morning, Nov. 20, in Alhambra.
Police responded to Valley Boulevard and Edgewood Drive around 3 a.m. regarding a pursuit.
During the pursuit, multiple vehicles collided and a woman was ejected from one of the vehicles, ABC 7 reported.
She was pronounced dead, according to reports from the scene. The Alhambra officer, who ABC 7 reported was unconscious after the crash, was taken to a hospital in critical condition and the other victims were taken to a hospital in unknown conditions.
Fox 11 reported a suspect was taken into custody, but it was not immediately known if it was in connection with the crash.
Video from the scene showed the vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash.
It was not immediately known why the pursuit began.
California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service her agency was assisting Alhambra with the investigation of the crash.
