ROCHESTER, N.Y. – It’s a cold morning across WNY with temperatures in the low to upper 20s for most spots, the exception being the lakeshore which is getting some warmer air and in the low 30s. We’ll stay in the 30s through the A.M., eventually peaking only in the low 40s early this afternoon and falling back into the 30s this evening. A mix of sun and clouds and light winds however will make this cold day a very tolerable one. Just remember to bundle up!
Another chilly night with lows in the upper 20s, then tomorrow we warm up to the upper 40s with plenty of clearing for the afternoon and light winds once again. Friday a weak cold front moves through which may kick up some light scattered showers, but other than that it’ll be partly cloudy with highs again in the upper 40s.
This weekend will be quiet and a good time to get outdoors. Cool and partly cloudy on Saturday with highs in the mid 40s, then warming up to 50 for Sunday with mostly cloudy skies. No rain, no snow, and light winds.
Early look for Thanksgiving suggests chances for unsettled weather ahead of and after turkey day. A low pressure system looks to move up to the northeast bringing rain on Wednesday, then once it passes by colder winds will move in from the west-southwest sparking up a lake response. It’s unknown whether this may start on or after Thanksgiving, but if the forecast holds it could bring some snow to the higher elevations. However keep in mind this is a very early look, and the forecast is bound to change in some capacity. Don’t reschedule any travel plans yet!
