Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes moment ahead of Monday night’s semifinals — and he couldn’t resist leaning into a little wordplay.
On his Instagram Stories, Hough showed off the tent where wardrobe stylists were busy embellishing the cast’s costumes with sparkling rhinestones. He captioned the clip simply: “Getting stoned.”
In the video, he walks through what he calls the show’s makeshift glam zone.

“Hi guys, check it out — we're in the Stone Zone right here. We're stoning up the costumes here. What are we working on over here? Oh yeah! Do we know who this is for? Can't say, can't say. Amazing. Wow. Look at those beads going on there, beautiful. I love it, guys. Alright, see ya later!” he said to the costume designers.
The dad-to-be followed the joke with a second video from his trailer, hyping up the semifinals.
“Alright, people, it is the semifinals of Dancing With the Stars, who do you have going into the finals for this record-breaking, monumental season? It's gonna be an incredible night tonight, you don't want to miss it," said Hough.

Hough then shared a fun moment with fellow judge Bruno Tonioli, as the two stood side by side wearing coordinating outfits — Derek in a white tank top, Bruno in a black one — complete with matching necklaces and nearly identical blonde/gray hair.
“We're ready, look at us! Derek, we're matching!” Bruno exclaimed.
Derek agreed: “We even have the necklaces, we got blonde hair.”
Bruno added with a grin, “This is a match made in heaven.”
