“That’s my child,” Brown told the cameras in the interview published on Tuesday, November 17. “That’s my kitten.”
Brown and Bongiovi quietly began dating in June 2021, but the two didn’t hard-launch their relationship until later that year in November. In March 2022, they made their first red carpet debut as a couple at the BAFTA Film Awards. They announced their engagement in April 2023 and then quietly married in May 2024 in a private ceremony, followed by a larger celebration.
Just over a year after their marriage, Brown and Bongiovi announced, in August 2025, that they had welcomed a daughter via adoption.
“This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple wrote in a joint message shared via Instagram. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
Since then, Brown has made a conscious decision to keep the little one out of the spotlight.
“For me, it’s really important to protect her and her story until she’s old enough to potentially one day share it herself,” the Electric State star said in an interview for the December issue of British Vogue. “If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that’s something we’d support.”
Brown added, “But right now, as she’s so little—as her parents, it’s our job to protect her from that.”
