Go big or go home! Wheel of Fortune is raising the stakes in a major way this November, and you won't want to miss it.
The beloved game show has teamed up with DraftKings for a special Multipier Tournament Week, which will air Nov. 24 through the 28. The collaboration will introduce one of the most dramatic format changes in the show's history, along with many other exciting additions that will allow contestants to win big.
Throughout the week, the show will feature two special DraftKings Casino multiplier wedges on the Wheel. If a contestant lands on one, they get $1,000 per consonant found in the puzzle, with the total being multiplied by whatever number is on the other side of the wedge, up to 5X.
But that's not even the most exciting development. The bonus round will play out normally for most of the week, but on Friday's championship episode, the top three players of the week return for the first-ever toss-up style bonus round.
This will replace the traditional bonus round, as the finalist will face five rapid-fire toss-up puzzles, each worth about $10,000, with the pressure at an all-time high, as there will only be 45 seconds on the clock to solve.
As always, the contestant will have a chance to select the puzzle category, with the classic RSTLNE reveal populating first. If a contestant gives an incorrect answer to a puzzle, which will all be in the same category, the clock will not stop, but rather move on to the next puzzle for the contestant to attempt.
At the end of the round, Ryan Seacrest will open a special DraftKings multiplier envelope with 2X, 3X, or 4X options, multiplying the contestant’s total winnings up to $200,000.
The iconic game show is proving that it can innovate and keep players and viewers on their toes, while honoring the legacy its built over the decades, with Sony Pictures Television’s President of Game Shows, Suzanne Prete stating of the partnership, “This new bonus round format is just one of the many ways our collaboration with DraftKings demonstrates how Wheel of Fortune integrations set the industry standard."
DraftKings Executive Vice President Christian Bogstrand echoed the excitement, noting that joining forces with such an iconic show “captures the excitement of gaming and the energy of our brand, bringing fans even closer to the action.”
