A shooting involving a Chicago police officer left at least one person in critical condition Tuesday, authorities said.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability said around 12:40 p.m. that it was responding to an “officer-involved shooting” in the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue.
Fire officials confirmed a man was taken from the scene to an area hospital in critical condition but did not confirm information on police involvement.
Chicago police did not release any details surrounding what happened but did confirm the incident was a “police-involved shooting.”
