Robert Irwin is continuing to keep his cool when asked about former Dancing with the Stars contestant, Xochitl Gomez.
In an interview with "Chicks in the Office" podcasts hosts, Irwin completely dodged a question about Gomez, whom he performed a flirty jive with during last week's 20th anniversary episode. Specifically podcast host Ria Ciuffo asked the conservationist about judge Derek Hough saying that the two dancers had "chemistry."
"How'd you feel about Derek calling out you and Xochitl's chemistry out in front of everybody?" To which podcast co-host Fran Mariano, added that it was an "older brother move."

Referring to partner Witney Carson, as his older sister, he said Hough was his older brother as he met him when he was 10-years-old when his actual sister Bindi Irwin, was partnered with the pro for her winning season in 2015.
"She's an incredible dancer, too" Irwin added of Gomez.

The conversation comes days after Irwin stayed mum when initially asked if he was "an item" the actress, who won the ballroom dance competition when she participated for Season 32. “We had the best time, that dance was so much fun,” he said at the time, avoiding the question. “It was so cool to do two such distinct dances, one of was really slow and heartfelt and then the dance with Xochitl was just like energy and fun.”Irwin also got to talking with the Mariano and Ciuffo about this upcoming week, where contestants will repeat a dance style they've already performed. Irwin and Carson will dance to a jive.
"We call him the jive guy," Carson said of his energy level. "I think that first [jive] that we did was so special because it was his debut and there was so much pressure and anticipation, and that fact that we had so much fun and we just nailed it...we've been waiting to do the jive again." ?
