Fans of Callie Hart’sQuicksilver cannot contain their excitement now that they have its sequel, Brimstone, in their hands.
Brimstone — the second book in Hart’s Fae and Alchemy series — was released on Tuesday, November 18. Hours before the novel hit shelves, the author marked its long-awaited debut in a Monday, November 17, Instagram post.
“I’ve been waiting since January for this night. Almost an entire year of Brimstone burning a hole in the back of my mind and not being able to share it with you,” she wrote. “Tonight, we’re celebrating this thing at last, and I’m feeling so many things. Most of all, I’m full of gratitude for all of the amazing people I’ve met since I released Quicksilver. Full of gratitude for all of the love and support you guys have shown to this series and to me.”

She added: “I will never get over your kindness and the joy you’ve brought to me by giving me the freedom to write this story. I hope you enjoy Brimstone. I love you guys x.”

Hart self-published Quicksilver in June 2024. The book’s runaway success — which included a top spot on the New York Times bestsellers list — led to its traditional publication by Forever that December followed by a deluxe hardcover edition that came out this August.
Quicksilver is an enemies-to-lovers romantasy centered around Alchemist Saeris Fane and Fae warrior Kingfisher. The synopsis for Brimstone teases, “A darkness falls across Yvelia. The realm and their friends are in danger. Together, Saeris and Fisher will pass through fire and brimstone to save them.”
While the title of the third book in the Fae and Alchemy series has not yet been announced, the novel has an expected release date of Nov. 10, 2026.
