‘Stranger Things’ bike ride will take over Melrose in LA on November 23

Los Angeles bike enthusiasts and “Stranger Things” fans will get an opportunity to take a trip to the Upside Down.

Netflix and CicLAvia are partnering for Stranger Things 5 One Last Ride, an event that brings fans together to bike, skate, or stroll along a car-free stretch of Melrose Avenue in celebration of the fifth and final season of the beloved Netflix series. The street will be transformed into the fictional town of Hawkins from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Fans are invited to immerse themselves in the world of the show and dress up as their favorite Hawkins characters or monsters, channeling peak ‘80s vibes with neon, leg warmers, windbreakers, or any other retro look. There will also be a special quest along the route where participants can rack up collectable stamps by completing various activities on the quest map to unlock additional surprises. The event will also feature photo ops, pedal-powered activations, live entertainment, merchandise, giveaways, and an exclusive content drop, all in anticipation of Volume 1 of the series finale premiering on Netflix on Nov. 26.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Netflix and Stranger Things 5 for CicLAvia—Melrose Ave,” a CicLAvia spokesperson wrote in a press statement. “This partnership is a perfect blend of storytelling and public space reimagined. Like the show, CicLAvia opens up unexpected paths and reveals the unseen corners of our city. By transforming Melrose into a car-free landscape alive with art, mobility, and joyful togetherness, we’re inviting Angelenos to step into a world where imagination moves us; where every street becomes part of the narrative, every walk, skate or ride an adventure. It’s not just about closing roads — it’s about opening up possibilities. And while Strange Things 5 offers ‘one last ride,’ CicLAvia is closing out its 2025 season with this fun fandom/pop-up park mashup.”

The Netflix x CicLAvia—Melrose Ave: Stranger Things 5 One Last Ride features three hubs along the route, each filled with a variety of activities and programs, serving as walking zones and meeting points. The Fairfax Hub is located on Melrose Ave., east of Fairfax Ave.

The Melrose Hub will be located on Melrose Ave. near Windsor Blvd., and the Vermont Hub will be located on Melrose Ave. west of Vermont Ave. Each hub offers family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, basic bike repair services, bike parking, and first aid. Free pedicab rides are available at each hub’s information booth. More information on the quest, including the pickup of the quest map, will also be available at all the hubs.

Only people-powered vehicles will be allowed at the event. No electric scooters, electric skateboards, hoverboards, electric unicycles, motorcycles, or other non-person-powered vehicles are allowed at CicLAvia. Class 1 e-bike pedal-assist will be allowed, and Class 2 e-bikes are allowed when the throttle is powered off. Class 3 e-bikes are permitted when pedal-assist is powered off, and motorized wheelchairs are also allowed.
