I don't think anyone, not even Hallmark Media, could have guessed how the 2022 "Countdown to Christmas" film, Three Wise Men and a Baby, would become so popular that it would spawn two additional movies, making it a trilogy. Imagined as a one-off film, the original film focused more on the relationship between three brothers than the romance between two of the main characters, as most of their films do.

The film, co-written by frequent Hallmark actors Paul Campbell and Kimberley Sustad tested the mettle of each brother after a baby is left on their doorstep. With their mother (Margaret Colin) away tending to sick relatives, the siblings are left on their own to care for another human when they've pretty much been taken care of their entire lives by their mother.

The movie brought in the network's biggest heartthrobs — Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Campbell— to star as the Brenner Boys. When the movie premiered, it was an instant hit, which led to an extended cut of the film as well as a sequel, Three Wiser Men and a Boy. The Brenner family is back, and their lives are more chaotic than ever!  As Luke (Walker) is expecting twins, Taylor (Hynes) is debating a monumental job opportunity out of state, and Stephan (Campbell) attempts to plan for his upcoming nuptials, everyone’s stress heightens when they learn their mom (Colin) has put their childhood home up for sale, marking their final Christmas in the Brenner house.  With unexpected in-laws visiting, wild animals lurking in freshly cut Christmas trees and a hesitant mall Santa, the boys will have their work cut out for them as the holiday begins to loom.  As they navigate adulting at a level they have yet to reach, they must learn to once again lean on one another to rise to the needs of their growing family, conquer the newest challenges in their lives, and, most crucially, have the best Christmas EVER!

Who's in the cast of Three Wisest Men?

Walker plays the oldest Brenner boy, Luke. Luke is now married to Thomas' (Miles Marthaller) mother, Sophie (Nicole Major) and they're expecting twins any day now.

Andrew Walker’s first Hallmark movie was 2012’s A Bride for Christmas opposite Arielle Kebbel. He has since starred in over two dozen movies for Hallmark Media, including his latest, Adventures in Love & Birding, opposite Rachel Boston. Earlier this year, he starred in The Reluctant Royal. Previous credits include Snowed-Inn Christmas and Bottled with Love, both opposite Bethany Joy Lenz.

Paul Campbell (Stephan)

Paul Campbell plays the middle brother, Stephan. Stephan and Susie (Fiona Vroom) are planning their nuptials, but Stephan's indecisiveness is causing some rifts between the two.

Campbell, who previously starred in Battlestar Galactica, is also a familiar face on Hallmark Channel, starring in The Cases of Mystery Lane,Falling Together, and The Santa Stakeout. He has starred in multiple Hallmark movies with Kimberley Sustad, including A Godwink Christmas, Wedding Every Weekend, and Christmas by Starlight. He is also a credited writer on Moriah’s Lighthouse (starring Rachel LeFevre and Luke Macfarland), Christmas at Castle Hart (starring Lacey Chabert and StuartTownsend) and Christmas by Starlight.

Tyler Hynes (Taylor)

Hynes plays the youngest brother, Taylor. Taylor seems to have a hard time holding down a job, and is reluctant to change (he still iives in his mother's basement), but change is inevitable.

Tyler Hynes quickly became a viewer fave and has starred in over a dozen movies for the network, including Shifting Gears, A Picture of Her, and most recently The Groomsmen trilogy of movies on Hallmark+. His other credits include Letterkenny, Roadhouse Romance, and UnREAL.

Margaret Colin (Barbara)

Barbara is the matriarch of the Brenner clan, but she has some news for the boys they may not be prepared for.

Margaret Colin got her start in acting on the soap opera, Edge of Night. She is best recognized for her work on films like Three Men and a Baby and Independence Day as well as television shows such as Chicago Medand Veep.

Miles Marthaller (Thomas)

Marthaller got his acting start at age 2 when he starred in a commercial. This is just his second television movie credit. His older sister, Remy Marthaller, currently stars as Sarah Wolf on When Calls the Heart.

Munro has been steadily working as an actor for over three decades. He has appeared in supporting roles in numerous Hallmark films including Crossword Mysteries: Terminal Descent, Time for Them to Come Home at Christmas and Chronicle Mysteries: Helped to Death. He most recently had recurring roles on The Chicken Sisters and Peacemaker.

Ali Liebert (Fiona)

Liebert appeared in the popular Hallmark Channel movie, A Gift to Remember opposite Peter Porte and its sequel, Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2. She also won several awards for her role as Betty in the Canadian television series, Bomb Girls.

Vroom is best known for her roles in Bates Motel and Hell on Wheels. She currently plays Phyllis Diaz, the best friend of Kristin Kreuk's character on Murder in a Small Town. She appears all three "Wise Men" movies as the romantic lead to Paul Campbell's character, Stephan. Other credits include Snowpiercer, Wild Cards, and Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.

Nicole Major (Sophie)

Major plays Sophie, the mother of Thomas (Miles Marthaller), the baby that was left to Luke (Andrew Walker) to care for in the first Three Wise Men and a Baby movie. While Luke and Sophie did not have a romantic relationship in the movie, the two are a couple by the second film and married and expecting twins by the third film. Major's credits include Family Law, Alert: Missing Persons Unit and Superman & Lois.

Karpluk joined the "Three Wise Men" franchise in the second film, Three Wiser Men and a Boy. She previous starred as the titular character in Being Erica. Other credits include A Million Little Things, Resident Alien, and The Chicken Sisters.
