ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say two armed robberies happened at two separate gas stations in the city Thursday night.
The first one happened at about 6 p.m. Police say they responded to the Speedway on Monroe Avenue for a report of an armed robbery. They say a store employee told them a person entered the store with a gun and demanded money.
Police say the suspect then stole an unknown amount of money and then left the store.
Thirty minutes later, police say they then responded to the Kwik Fill on Chili Avenue for another armed robbery. They say the store employee at Kwik told them a person went into the store, threatened them with a gun, and demanded money.
This suspect also left the store with an unknown amount of cash, police say. Nobody was hurt during either robbery.
Police say it is unclear at this time if these robberies are related. Both of them are still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
