The Minnesota Vikings released their second injury report of the week ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Chicago Bears at U.S. Bank Stadium, and there were a few notable changes.
The biggest development came with edge rusher Jonathan Greenard, who was downgraded to a non-participant after being listed as limited on Wednesday. Andrew Van Ginkel, meanwhile, went in the opposite direction — upgraded to limited after sitting out Wednesday’s session with a neck injury.
Left tackle Christian Darrisaw was again listed as a DNP, though that’s believed to be his typical Thursday rest day rather than a setback. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who’s been managing a right-hand issue, was upgraded to a full participant, as were right guard Will Fries and tackle Justin Skule.
Elsewhere, center Ryan Kelly (concussion) and running back Aaron Jones Sr. (shoulder/toe) were both limited, with Kelly’s availability the more uncertain of the two. Tight end Josh Oliver, safety Josh Metellus, and Van Ginkel were all limited as well, while veterans Harrison Smith and Theo Jackson logged full workloads.
