ROCHESTER, N.Y. — To celebrate World Kindness Day Thursday, some Rochester students got a big surprise.
Attorneys and staff from Harter Secrest and Emery delivered more than 200 pairs of new Sony headphones to a fourth grade class at School No. 54 Thursday morning. The company collected the headphones during a donation drive at its Rochester headquarters.
The students use headphones daily as part of their classroom and learning experience.
In 2023, Harter Secrest an Emery donated winter hats and gloves to students at the school for World Kindness Day.
“Acts of kindness go a long way in brightening a child’s day, from something as simple as a smile or encouraging word to receiving a wonderful gift like these headphones,” said School No. 54 Principal Demitria Lawton-Greggs in a press release.
World Kindness Day is observed annually on Nov. 13.
