ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We’ll get a break from the gray skies and frequent showers to end the work week. Showers all but end Thursday night, but a stray shower or two may linger into early Friday, but otherwise we’ll be dry with a little bit of sunshine. Yes, sun! Any blue sky will be fairly limited, but we’ll see some sun from time to time. Temperatures will be just about average in the mid and upper 40s.
The weekend starts off with some sun and dry weather on Saturday, but showers will move back in during the afternoon hours. Most rain will fall Saturday evening and night, with most rain ending by Sunday morning. Still, a few showers may last into the morning hours, starting to mix with some wet snowflakes as temperatures drop through the 40s and into the upper 30s. Weather may end up being somewhat of a factor for the Bills game on Sunday afternoon. Tailgaters should expect some rain showers early, mixing with and eventually changing over to some lake snow showers. Accumulations should be minor, but we’ll likely see some flakes around. The wind may end being the bigger issue, with some gusts near 40 mph out of the west.
Lake flakes linger into Monday, with minor accumulations expected at this point. But it’ll be a bit of a wintry start to the new work week, with highs in the 30s and gusty wind to go with those snow showers.
