ONTARIO COUNTY, N.Y. — Two people who previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy in connection to a murder-for-hire plot have been sentenced to prison.

In March 2024, State Police say Alexander Kise plotted from jail to kill an Ontario County judge and prosecutor who presided over his rape trial, as well as a witness.
Kise was awaiting sentencing for his rape conviction in the Ontario County Jail, for raping, injuring and holding captive a girl he met online.
State Police say his girlfriend, Alydia Gater, met with someone who she thought was a hired killer. They say Gater actually met with an undercover officer and offered $1,750 worth of Xanax as payment to kill the judge.
Investigators say a recorded conversation between Kise and Gater revealed the plan was to have the hit man shoot their targets, saying the two shared pictures of the judge and prosecutor. State Police also say Kise threatened to kill the judge and the prosecutor while in court, in jail, and in conversations with his girlfriend.
Gater was sentenced to 2-6 years in prison. Kise was sentenced to 5-15 years in prison. This sentence will run consecutively to his 35 year sentence on a rape conviction.
