BERKELEY — A man has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting women on an AC Transit bus as it rode through Berkeley, court records show.
Isreal Mohammed, 35, was charged with felony counts of assault with intent to commit a sex crime, false imprisonment and multiple counts of misdemeanor sexual battery. He is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, with bail set at $120,000, and he is set to be arraigned on Nov. 24, court records show.

The criminal complaint lists two alleged victims.
Police said in court filings that Mohammed punched and groped one woman, wrapped his arm around a second woman’s neck and dragged her from the front of the bus and touched the “hip and buttocks” of a third woman. The bus stopped at Dwight Way and McGee Avenue in Berkeley, where Mohammed was arrested.
Multiple victims identified Mohammed at the scene, authorities said.
