Subtly testing him, Ripa decided to see if her husband of nearly 30 years would fall for the "Bird Theory," a theory where one partner mentions that they saw a bird and the other partner's response determines the couple's connection, according to PBS. The test has also become viral on TikTok.
According to Decider, the longtime talk show host casually mentioned to her husband that she, indeed, "saw a bird" and waited for his response.

“Oh, you did? What kind of bird?” Consuelos responded, to which delighted Ripa.
“Oh my gosh, he loves me!” she joked. Consuelos started hosting Live alongside Ripa in 2023 after Ryan Seacrest stepped away from the show. The couple, now coworkers, regularly jab at each other in fun ways and joke about their relationship on the morning show.
