More clouds and lake rain today with a breeze and highs in the low 40s; Some rumbles of thunder are also not out of the question this afternoon if lake convection gets strong enough, but chances are slim and the rain and wind is not expected to be very impactful, so we’ll stay Green on the Threat Tracker. Just remember to wear a warm coat and rain jacket if you have to be outside.
Lake rain showers continue into Friday morning, but they should end by the afternoon and a wedge of high pressure will keep us dry Friday night through Saturday morning. Another cold front comes by later on Saturday, which will have warmer temperatures ahead of it and plenty of rain along it. Behind it will come colder air, and more windy lake effect rain showers are in store for Sunday turning to a wintry mix in some areas of the higher elevations.
Lake effect snow showers and cold wind continues Monday and Tuesday, but accumulations seem to be minimal at this time. Check back in over the next few days for updates on the forecast.
